Mission

• Improving health and well-being of an individual to foster related Finnish business.

Goal

• The goal is to develop products, services and practices to prevent and treat diseases with major public health and economic impact, and comprehensively maintain and improve the functional capabilities of an individual.

The diseases and conditions selected for focus are

• Microbial infections and inflammation
• Metabolic syndrome
• Neurodegenerative and psychiatric diseases as well as a healthy brain under stress
• Malignant diseases, especially solid tumors
